Hello, September!


Greetings, beer lovers! Ah, the changing seasons. August was a busy month for us — from NashBash to GABF competition beer dropoff to double brew days to partnering up with W-4 for their football tailgates, we were running like crazy! We like crazy, though. We love what we do, and when we get to do even more of it than normal, well. That’s just awesome.

At the end of the month, we put a new brew (Kurios Black) into bourbon barrels with tart cherries from Northern Michigan, and, for the second year in a row, our Winter Lager also got the bourbon barrel treatment. These guys will sit and patiently wait until the next change of seasons, at which point we’ll unleash them and all their big-boned, bourbon-barrel goodness to you all.

September will be busy for us too — this coming Saturday (9/6), we’ve got a table at the HomeGrown Festival, where we’ll be featuring four of our brews. This free event is located at the Farmers’ Market in Kerrytown, and it runs from 6-10. With live music, awesome food, and some great beer, you don’t want to miss it! Come on down and hang out with us.

Other events this month include Suds on the River, our week-long Oktoberfest release celebration at the Tap Room (more on that to follow), Massacre bottling and wax-dipping with the winners from our Reaping contest, OutFest, and some tap takeovers scattered throughout. It’ll be a great month, and we can’t wait to raise a pint (or five!) with you!
