Greetings! Below, please find three logos and three contact names and information should you need to call or email us. Press releases will also be uploaded below, with the most recent appearing first. When referring to the brewery, please use Wolverine State Brewing Co (our actual business name) as opposed to "Wolverine Beer" or "Wolverine Brewery," which are incorrect derivatives of our actual name. There are two logos below that should never be used in promoting or referring to the brewery -- they are demarcated with bright red Xs. Some basic information: the company was founded in 2006 by Matt Roy and Trevor Thrall. In 2010, we opened a brick-and-mortar production facility and tap room at 2019 W. Stadium on Ann Arbor's West Side. We offer three year-round bottled varieties, one seasonal bottled variety, and more than 50 draft options annually.

  • For brewery, beer, and production-related questions, please email our Brewmaster, Oliver Roberts, at oliver@wolverinebeer.com.
  • For media, marketing, events, and community outreach questions, or to schedule a time to visit the Tap Room or production facility for an interview or otherwise, please email marketing manager Mackenzie Meter at mackenzie@wolverinebeer.com.
  • For projections, business insight, or brewery history, please email our President, Matt Roy, at matt@wolverinebeer.com.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 8, 2016

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Wolverine State Brewing Co is excited to announce a packaging rebrand of its flagship lagers. The update encompasses three brands: Wolverine Premium Lager, Gulo Gulo IPL, and District 16 Amber Lager, formerly known as Wolverine Amber Lager.

The new labels and carriers will be on shelves beginning in early October.

The project’s aim was to bring all labels into a cohesive line and set the stage for future seasonal and year-round bottle releases, which are set to begin in spring of 2017. The repackaging comes on the heels of a recent agreement that puts Wolverine State Brewing Co flagship bottles in Kroger locations state-wide.

The rebrand is the latest in a series of milestones for the brewery. In 2015, the company completed a 6,000 square foot on-site expansion. This expansion will bring the brewery's production capacity to nearly 5,000 barrels by the end of 2017. In May 2016, the company received a Bronze Medal from the World Beer Cup for its Raucher Smoked Lager.
