It’s October in Michigan. Things are starting to slow down, the days are getting a little bit shorter, and we’re putting on extra layers. The leaves are vibrant, the skies are at turns foreboding and crystal-clear, and pumpkin-spice-everything worship is reaching a frantic fever pitch. (Seriously? Dog treats? Pringles?!) Pumpkin and spice belong in beer (and maybe coffee. Maybe.).
The only way we like to drink pumpkin or spice is in Cucurbita Smiles, our Imperial Spiced Pumpkin Lager, which we released on October 3. This delicate pumpkin beer is spiced with Saigon cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar, and it’s aged on natural vanilla flavor. It stays true to our lager philosophy: clean, crisp, always balanced.
Come on in the tap room and grab a pint while it lasts! Or, take some home in a 32 oz mini-growler. Just like fall, this beer won’t be around for long.

This month in the tap room, in addition to Cucurbita and our other big beers like Double Fisted and Grand CruZ, we’re bringing out Guile 500 — our 500th batch of beer. This huge milestone beer is an Imperial Stout Lager, and it promises nothing less than robust chocolatey malty perfection. Release is Friday, October 10.
With football on the tv, big delicious beer in our glass, and a crisp bite to the air, October really gets us going. We hope to see you around soon! Cheers!
